Hello —

I set up this site to share documents that contain information about Lyme disease, Lyme disease coinfections, and ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). The documents mainly direct the reader to other sources of information, with explanations about what you will find if you follow the links to the sources of information. Any information quoted from other sources is presented within quote marks, and in every instance the source is identified. Any information that is not quoted is my original writing and represents my opinion.

So, who am I? I am a person who has multiple chronic infections. I am currently choosing to remain anonymous, in order to protect my access to unbiased medical care. I have been doing research to help myself and others who have similar medical problems. In the process of doing this research, I discovered information suggesting that in some cases there may be a relationship between the symptoms of ALS and undiagnosed chronic infections. I am sharing information relevant to that concept here. I have attempted to present information in a balanced and fair manner, and I have included documents that contradict that concept as well. It is up to the reader to follow up on any information that sounds plausible, and to make up his or her own mind about what is most likely to be an accurate theory.

In addition, I also am sharing information that could be useful to people with ALS who do not have an underlying infection as a cause of their ALS. And, most of the information presented could be useful to people who have or think they may have Lyme disease, Lyme disease coinfections, or other kinds of unidentified chronic infections.

While I have made every effort to ensure that the information I am sharing is accurate, I am not an expert on ALS, and I am not an expert on Lyme disease. So, if you want information to quote, please quote from the official sources of information that are linked to my documents. Any documents that are on this web page exist for the purpose of sharing information only, and do not constitute medical advice. If you need medical advice, please consult a qualified medical professional. Please actively learn about your own medical condition, and take full responsibility for your own medical care, which includes taking responsibility for how you interpret the information being shared here.

This information will be updated at irregular intervals, and when it is updated I will do my best to show — on the “Outline” (home) page –when any individual page has been updated, so that you will know whether the topics you are interested in have been updated or not.

This is my first attempt at using WordPress.com. So, I apologize for the appearance of my web pages. I do not currently know how to improve the organization of the headers or the appearance of the font size on the screen (which I feel is too small). Also, I do not know why the font size is irregular during the printing process. If you want to print the documents, however, the font size can be manipulated to enlarge the type fonts and therefore make the documents more readable. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that I will get around to solving these web layout problems, because I am very ill and it has taken me a very long time to organize this information; I have barely managed to compile these documents, and I need to begin putting into practice more of what I have discovered.

NOTE:  I do not benefit financially or in any other way from anything I mentioned in these documents.
